Any advice on Jute rugs, my thoughts are the dry powder system. Any ideas on the best wet method i know over wetting could cause problems.

DO NOT wet clean a jute rug.

Shrinkage and maybe rucking are guaranteed, as is water marking when the rug dries.

Colour loss is a certainty, even with dry cleaning. Treat a stain and colour loss in the local area will leave a cleaner looking patch and the stain may not be removed.

The ONLY way I would recommend to clean a jute rug is by Dry Compound and it is essential that even the little details such as the way you apply the sponges on these carpets is followed to the letter.

I have a training course ready to go for this type of cleaning (all cellulosic fibres) but for both personal and Covid reasons, the launch has been delayed.

Safe and happy cleaning:smile:

It's in a listed building converted into flats

600k each

The areas are where they put their black bins outside their doors.

Trevor, there is over 200 meters of walkway..

The previous property manager disagreed with me it couldn't be done last year

Cleary the now new property manager doesnt read notes....

And yet the tiled entrance lobby's are mingling and they wont consider a quote for them, its just madness...
