Just been to a customer to organise some Terracotta hard floor cleaning . Whilst there she asked about her wooden floors. We dont do wood but I'm curious
these orange marks have started to appear on her lounge floor. Any ideas?? _IMG_000000_000000.jpg _IMG_000000_000000.jpg

Tannins from wood naturally seeping out or possible moisture under wood causing rust if seems all nearby to nails/fixings. No expert, just educated guess šŸ¤”

I was leaning towards that until I looked closely

However

The nails aren't rusting, classic tell on moisture from underthe floor, and the edges of the discolouration are sharp, if it where moisture from below it would follow the wood grain and structure and be uneven

I think this is something from above personally.

Something on the wood before it was finished and its reacting now over time.
