Expensive Boo-boo

Caught a cold this morning. Was doing a Lamona double oven which had 2 piece L shaped grill seals which I put in the dip tank to give a clean. Was getting the parts out of the oven and one of the grill seals mounting hooks got caught in the drilled metal plate that covers my dip tank heater element. Tried to free it but the tank heat was unbearable, even with a pair of gloves on under my gauntlets. Had another go to wiggle it free when the mount hook came away tearing the seal. £13 to replace it. Will have to take care not to let that happen again.

£13, that's not bad, David. Someone on here the other day was having to buy a new oven! Just upsell a hob/extractor clean this week and you've made your money back.
