Facebook ads

Hi all.

I’ve been playing around with Facebook ads recently and doing lost of research trying to find the ‘winning’ strategy. How much daily budget to you give to see good results in your experience?. I’m currently doing £20 per day and getting a small amount of success from it but not enough. I’ve also played around with different ad media/boost posts. Also, do people find much of a difference including characteristics, interests and demographics or do people just leave it blank, I’ve heard mixed things on this. I am keeping the distance and age in mind as well when doing my ads. Any help would be much appreciated:smile:

just remember facebook ads are speculative people who see the ads may not want there oven cleaned its better to focus on targeted advertising like google where people are searching for oven cleaners

i spend between £1 and £4 per day and that generally keeps the phone ringing. I would always strive to get your website to the top of google as that was the real game changer for me. also on face book i only target women between 30 and 65 as they make all of nthe spending choices anyway.
Hi Rolf. You run successfully adds. Could you please share with us some examples of you FB ads. Also where do you work?

£39.99 and £49.99 apart from being pretty cheap why not just round it up 🤣

My average ticket is £55. that stays pretty consistant month to month. so i work it this way, 3 per day at £55 equals £165 per day or £990 per six day work week, some weeks i do less some weeks i do more, when i was doing student flats in august/september i was doing ten per day all in the same location. I hang on to the £39.99 starting price because there are quite a few people in liverpool doing ovens for £30.00

Absolutely nothing wrong with your pricing strategy!
Its a well used and well known psychological pricing method customers see the lower price and perceive it as a better deal than the rounded price
It’s used in businesses everywhere
Just look in any supermarket/car dealership/online/99p shop !
It obviously working well for you 👍

I have been doing this 17 years now. People were not even paying £40 for single oven even then. Forget other people charging £30 you won't want those customers anyway..

Put your prices up and you will only need to work 5 days a week. Work smarter not harder.

My average job os about £80 3 a day.

Exactly forget what the opposition are doing.. the job is hard enough as it is. Never understand why some people have live booking pages. The best way to Upsell in this job is to actually talk too a customer. Never understand why people won't do that it a wasted opportunity. Its also easier to plan your day rather than do add ons when you arrive.

i have never really cared how anyone else runs their business or what they charge,(why would i) im top of google for liverpool and i do tons of student properties all in the same buildings which i would not get if i charged £80. i make just under £1000 a week(which rises to £4000 per week in august and september for student building) which for me is amazing as i grew up very poor and i probably am a bit soft but so many of my customers are poor or pensioners and £40 or £50 is a lot of money for them. i know steve johnson or tal cohen would just :censored: them off but i dont want to and i dont want to charge an old person £80 for an oven clean , i use online booking because i hate talking on the phone and could not be asked trying to upsale on the phone, so you do it your way and i will do it mine, im perfectly happy, maybe i could make more money charging more but im happy, my big cooperate clients are happy, my student rental customers are happy and im off to a cyprus for a week before it all gos crazy

What's that got to do with ripping old people off? The old people by Me are the wealthiest clients.

I am not the cheapest and not the most expensive. I am Just trying to point out £39.99 is very low price but as you said it's your business.

As above there are people in your area charging more and have no problem. As you get older you will find it harder so putting up prices allows you to still earn a decent living and do less work.

Don't accuse me of ripping people off.

I think he was saying i ripped off the lady, her and her son did a 30 point inspection after the clean and pronounced it "brand new" then a week later said they were using the grill and it went on fire and unless i replaced her oven they were going to smear me over facebook etc..

Then you have evidence of your inspection.

Their apparent attempt at blackmail.

And they should have had you insurance companies details who probably told them to swivel

to be honest i have not given it a second thought, out of thousands of cleans i have had maybe three people who have tried it on in this way and maybe half a dozen times when i did actually break something and each time it was my fault i replaced the part. The good thing about thick scally's who try it on is they give up quickly just like they did in school or anytime something becomes difficult, so after a couple days they give up
