Propane Burner On Dip Tank

So, every once in a while the propane burner under my dip tank blows itself out. I'm wondering if this is a common occurrence; is it more likely under high wind, is there a maintenance issue I could look at fixing?

Usually only in High winds but could be worth giving it a scrub with a wire brush.

Get under and look at the flame, under the highest setting on mine there is a space between the burner and flame it flickers, just turn it down a little until the flame is constant.

Yes the distance between the burner and the tank can also make a big difference. I had to add spacers to mine so I could have it on full.

You can buy new burners, but it may just be rust, there cheaper than you think
