Have a kitchen floor to clean soon.
Tile and Grout.
What is the stuff that is used to protect the plinths? And where can I get some.

& then a cheap double sided carpet tape (the cheap ones generally don't have amazing grip which is imo what you want when sticking to someone's nice framework)

I'd take the plinths off if you possibly can - it often doesn't take any longer than sticking tape (we use weatherproof clear Mammoth tape) or Roll and Stroll hard surface protector. Chipboard swells at the slightest chance.

I'm with Max, plinths off. Screwfix do sell a sticky protective sheeting rolls.

Get a splash skirt and tell the customer to take the plinths off. Not your fault when the old plastic clips snap!

Possibly ask customer to do if you feel there is a chance of any damage.

Watch out for roll and stroll or any low tack plastic it can pull the paint off painted kitchens. particularly if the kitchen has been repainted on site. I have not used plastic for a couple of years without issue.

Thanks everyone.
The lady customer lives on her own so I doubt if she would remove the plinths her self.
Also I wouldn’t want to try in case of as mentioned damage or clips breaking.

It’s safer to remove the splinths than working with them on.
