I'm in the very early stages of starting a cleaning company and would really appreciate some solid advice about a number of operational things when it comes to office and domestic cleaning.

Neil has hit the nail on the head really. Whatever business you're in, it all comes down to sales and marketing.

1. Write a business plan, which will include a marketing plan as well as your financial blueprint. Your business plan should be so simple that a 10 year old could understand it.

2. Training, insurance, business bank account, equipment and supplies.

3. Hammer your sales and marketing.

4. As Neil mentioned, manage people.

Thanks for your responses.

What I need a little advice on is not so much to do with marketing or anything administrative, but it's more to do with the logistics of running my company remotely. If anyone is currently in this position and has insight into this - I'd love to have a chat.
