Just in the process of kitting my van out with a WFP set up. I got an ro system with it but cant use it as I live in a flat. Question is what size of Di vessel should I use with a 350 litre tank. 24 litre one any good?

Cant use the ro system so i'll just need to use DI vessels on the van to make pure water

Depending on your tap Tds, you may get through loads of resin,
Some guys actually use two Di vessels.
The guys at pure freedom can advise on this issue, they have hundreds of installs under their belts!

Dan, I make pure from my tap water and my tap water is 250 ppm so when I used resin really didn't last very long. I now use 2 Di vessels and lasts a lot longer, but I don't need much as I only clean windows for a few of my carpet clients.

Hi Paul. I got this set up from a fellow carpet cleaner who hated cleaning windows. I cant say who but it was Andrew Evans lol. My idea is to try commercial stuff and any current customers who want houses done. I just tested my tap water and its 270 so I guess I'll use loads of resin but I've no other choice. I just seen a YouTube video about using 2 vessels so I reckon that's the way forward. Cheers mate

Dan you need to be careful if you need a lot of water cos even with 2 vessels you will go through a lot of water with resin around 70 quid a bag could get expensive. I've used water when its got up to 6 on my tds meter and it's been ok.

hey daniel, you got any business cards for the windows mate im only down in botley but get clients both domestic and commercial asking me if i know anyone reliable all the time, guy i used to recommend has just retired.

Try and stick with commercial if you can more £ plus a lot of domestic don't like the reach & wash system. All the best mate, work at it and it's good money and regular work. Don't no to much about making the water there is a big company near me and I and lots of window cleaners buy it from him. It's like going to the petrol station, £20 and I got 400 litres.

Also Dan , ditch the battery they are a pain you are forever taking then out and charging then. Like you I also used to live in a flat and charging indoors they stink the place out . Now I just have two wires connected to my van battery wires under the floor and straight to the pump it always has plenty of juice in the battery.

Dan, Adrian is right about consider buying water. I used to buy mine but it was a 30 mile round trip. I bought my 1st DI and worked out it cost the same making myself rather than purchasing. It just saved me the time having to go collect. Now I use twin DI it saves money. If you have someone nearby it really is worth investigating. Think I was paying about 3.5p per litre.

easier to make it with DI vessels I think as most of the water in the tank will be used for carpet cleaning and I don't want to be wasting pure water on carpets.
