Pat Testing

I have read previous threads regarding PAT testing and note that there are low cost PAT testing equipment available which give a simple pass or fail .

Is this sufficient to comply with HSE regulations ??

Obviously that's just an example, probably plenty of others at various prices

not sure if you have to have some sort of exam or certification to legally be able to apply a sticker saying it's been tested.

Yo can get training through that website but It looks like you don't actually HAVE to have any formal training certification to PAT test.

I think, reading between the lines, as long as you're not a half-wit you can PAT test

There's a fair few pat testers on ebay, lots of pro models and a few basic ones

Jim- You can test your own to your hearts content- also anyone elses. But if anything happens to one you have tested you may come unstuck - elf n safty .
