Hey billy may be give some more detailed info ? I'm thinking of doing windows .... just domestic .... commercial .... traditionally .... water fed pole .... part time ....full time ... my vans small or big .... I currently get work via ,,, and so on Loads of options out there - experience on the tools counts for a lot too . Like most things plenty of practice and most people can be up to speed .
Personally I believe all window cleaners should be able to clean a window with an applicator and squeezee as in traditional .(shocking how many can not !) So that's just some tools and practice for you even better if a pro will train you ! You can start out with a di vessel to make pure water or a small ro and holding tank and a back pack or trolley system will be the lowest cost starting point with a pole to water fed pole any out side windows . I would say you would be best doing a few days with a company on the tools some ladder work and may be water fed pole after wards so you are able to use both in a good and safe manner and this would also give you a good indication on the rout you wish to go . There are various threads regarding pure water etc further back on the forum . If you need further help just ask
I started traditional then moved over to waterfed, it's definatley good to know how to clean traditionally but i would set up how you mean to go on. Firstly get yourself a tds meter and find out the tds of your water supply that will dictate if you need a full ro system or just di.
Where in the country are you? Im sure there will be someone near that would be able to take you out for a few days.
They always come up better . Higher up the water flows down better. You can not beat a applicator especially on doors. People expect to pole on higher floors and you can't get then all 100 % without the odd few spots that don't dry. But you can with a applicator get then 100% that's why.
Customers only expect what options you give them.
They dont come up better traditional! If your getting spots when drying your water might not be a low enough tds or your technique needs looking at. I think doors come up better with pure water and easier to get all the frame and panels especially on pvc
