Finished this grand old man of a Chesterfield today, icing on the cake was the NEW Aniline Finish ordered yesterday, delivered at 11am, applied at 1pm.
Re-buttoned, Aniline cleaned, Aniline RestoredIMG_0021.webp 20160511_100729.webp IMG_0023.webp IMG_0026.webp 20160511_100718.webp 20160511_130255.webp 20160511_155150.webp and then Aniline Finish, this was a highly polished, hard as nails, cracked sofa, but has been restored to a clean, natural, butter soft leather, has taken a day cleaning but wow, was it worth it!
LTT PRODUCTS are the best.

Can you please elaborate on these products and method of application.

Much appreciated.

Shorty.

Johnathan button from underneath. You cannot get the depth of pull from top.
I fortunately have made an excellent working situation with an upholstery company, we automatically find work for each other, and I get to work undercover for nought! This sofa comes from North Devon but it was costed for collection and return, upholsterers doing the buttoning, me the rest.
Todays project start is all the interiors of the '71 porche carrera 911 rs. in the photo background. This will be interesting as well!

Hi Shorty
Hope you are well and keeping busy

The Aniline products are something we specialise in and we work with a lot of manufacturers and retailers and leather suppliers because of our specialist products and knowledge. Aniline products have changed dramatically over the last couple of years and the new technology that has been involved in their creation makes cleaning, stain removal and restoration a real 'wow' factor service as you can see.

Dan used:

Aniline Cleaner: This is a non detergent, non surfactant cleaner that surface cleans but can also acts as an effective stain remover - can be used as a spot cleaner. Applied through trigger spray and wiped with a cloth
Aniline Stain Remover: Not sure that Dan used this but it can be used in conjunction with Aniline Cleaner to remove stubborn stains
Aniline Leather Restore: For reviving tired and dried out leather (older leather and vintage car interiors) - adds Fat Liquors back into the fibres and makes leather soft and supple again - helps with cracked areas as shown in Dan's photos
Aniline 'Soft Sheen' Finish: A very different type of finish formulated by us for putting the 'feel' and 'glow' back after restoration. Helps stop fading and will help to prolong the life of the leather. This is applied through an airbrush etc.
This can also be used as a great finish for Micropigments as colour can be added to it to give that light finish that is required for this type of leather
Aniline Dyes: Dan did not use colour in this instance but we have a great range of Aniline Dyes either pre mixed with a carrying agent or as a concentrate version (if you are changing the colour) - self sealing and easy to apply
Colour mixing is very easy with Aniline dyes and we do a range of base colours that can be mixed to any colour required

If you want any further information Shorty please don't hesitate to ask
Our new trade website will be up and running very soon with all these products on there

Thanks for reading

Was that Judy's new products used as well Susan? Head grease looks like it came out really well, any new products for that?

Many thanks Judy for your reply.

I look forward to seeing the new website & will be in touch..

Looking to move my biz; in a new direction over the next couple of years with more focus on leather work.

:wheelchair: :goodday:

Hi Mark and Jared

I used original LTT products, the head grease took a lot of hard work using de-greaser which I had to leave overnight, then to clean off the de-greaser I have to be a bit harsh using agitation and again LTT products.

Regards Susan

This is always a big mystery to me Steve as they must see it over a long time building up. I actually had one customer where the leather had actually rotted with body oils and when it finally tore she wanted to take the manufacturer to court for using poor quality leather!!
