Aniline Or Suede??

Hey Judy, came across a beautiful coat this week, an urgent rush job as they're going on leave.

It's a double sided coat for a Lady.

No labels at all due to it being able to be worn either way,

One side is Aniline, whilst the other is Suede.

I've never seen this in leather before.

Sorry for the poor pic quality, but no doubt you've seen many.

Owner say's she bought it in Italy.
P & S Coat 2.webp

Cheers,

Shorty.

Hi Shorty
Hope you are well and we're not too affected by the storms.

Do you mean its reversible?
Aniline would be suede on the interior anyway but has this been lined in Suede so that it can be worn both ways?

This should clean and restore very nicely.

Cheers

That's correct Judy, and yes, the client was very happy with it.

A very lovely coat, I was impressed by the quality of it.

The cyclone has affected many thousands, many will be without water & power for a week or more.

Many island resorts are running out of food & water, & still unsafe to try & enter.

Luckily for us, it was at least 300 miles south and we had no wind nor rain.

As a rain depression, it's now heading for Brisbane & causing a lot of havoc with massive flooding.

As it crossed the coast, it had a front of 100 kilometers and was traveling at 6 kph; cat 4.

A very dangerous cyclone.

Take care,

Shorty.

Thanks Shorty

Great to hear you are all safe but sad that so many have been affected.

Some items you see just ooze quality and these are always the ones that are really nice to work on. The better the quality of the leather the better it responds to cleaning and restoration.

It would have been an expensive item given its construction.

Keep up the good work

Cheers
Judyb
