I’ve just been reading this thread and know just what it’s like when a customer calls with a complaint. Your heart is in your hands and you can think of nothing else other than what could possibly have gone wrong.
I recall many calls over the years, from customers claiming a water leak/ flood only to rush out to find a small puddle, but they’re panicking. Your first words to these manic complainers should be don’t worry, I’m sure we can sort it out. Literally the worst case scenario is an insurance claim, no big deal, just chill, most problems are treatable so don’t worry it’s all part of running your business. Taking a unmoved approach will put your customer at ease, and make the problem much easier to deal with. Be sympathetic, relax, and reassure your customer that you’re in complete controll. There are many persons on this site whom are happy to help you. I just wish it had been around when I started.
