Difficult Oven Bulb Covers

I have recently had a few very difficult to remove oven bulb covers that desperately needed a clean but just couldn't be removed.

When trying to unscrew the bulb cover it only moves maybe a millimeter to the left or right and won't budge further than that.

It seems to be the ones that are located on the roof of the oven, sometimes with the element around it.

Any ideas on techniques or tools?

there's a plastic tool specifically for the large covers (usually central on the roof or back corner). There seems to be an issue though that completely wedges them no matter what you do so they have to be cleaned where they are. I just explain to the customer that they will need to smash them out and buy a new cover if they want a new bulb.

You can use one of those plumbing tools which is a rubber band that loops round fittings, it can be handy for removing the larger ones.

Like busses, not had a stuck one for ages but had 2 today i couldn’t turn. Both ovens in a bad way. Both Neff. Rubber gloves, plastic tool and a bit of white vinegar and wouldn’t budge.
Annoying when customer has paid for new bulb and then vacated the property.

Usually it’s the tiny bulb covers on smeg & Britannia placed right in the corner I have trouble with as I cannot get any purchase on them.
