What sort of stains are these suitable for and are there instructions on the side for customers?

Neil,

It is effective against a wide range of water-soluble stains, not as effective as our professional spotters but being a microsplitter it leaves no soil-attracting residue and unlike the supermarket products, is unlikely to make out task more difficult if the customers attempt at removal fails.
