I have a 450 gpd RO system. I'm only getting about 25 litres an hour. Have tried a booster pump but didn't make much difference. Am getting 2.4 bars of pressure. Been told that a 40\40 RO system is the way to go!! Could really do with some help please!!!!!

Get in touch with Gardiner Pole Systems. They are/were very helpful and usually do not try to sell you a different system unless it is required- A bit like Nick really.

Read the other threads where I explain the difference between an ro small volume a high volume expensive ro and on demand d I only . If none of that applies as in is it second hand does it have a waste valve u can adjust to man style . have u properly ran it non stop for 24 hrs to see total volume . Let me know and let me know what you expect as in " I'd like to fill a 800 ltr tank in 4 hrs " as an example and I'll tell you what it's going to cost you , tds reading from tap as well.

Hi.probably use 500 litres in two days. My TDs is 180. Have a 500 litre tank in the garage with this setup seems like it's never going to fill. I have put two 25 litre tanks together. One with waste the other with pure. Getting about 50\50. My reading after its been RO is 17. Takes around two hour to fill the 25 litre.So I have a pump to polish it off with my twin di straight into my tank on the van.

Thanks . that is below normal flow your ratio pure to waste is good though 1:1 firstly you should just leave the ro running to fill your storage tank if your only require that little water a day running gives you 500 Ltr but I'd get a cheap ibc tank 1000 ltr and run it non stop that way just transfer it to van tank and constantly top up your storage tank - I would use your booster pump too - if your desperate fill from the twin di s but don't expect your resin to last long - a 4040 ro would be Mutch faster probs do 500 ltr in 4 hours ish but they need a bigger booster pump if pressures poor all adds up to be about 1k with pump gaps water are the guys to speak to . Faster fill times come by adding a 2 nd or 3 rd membrain but so does the cost ! I would try what I've suggested and see how you get on if your not getting enough water ( you should be ) then your pressure and set up needs to be addressed as in are the membrains new are all connectors on correctly is the waste valve ( if you have one ) set up correctly and so on . Is it a 450 gpd from pure freedom by chance ?

I've always used 4040 with twin 20inch pre filters and di. Then tank.

Fill 1000 up in just under 8 hours no booster. Do 2 litres per minute The cost of 4040 all in is 370 inc vat. Well worth it IMO.

Is that with low pressure hf5 s? Membrains patrik that's decent fill time with no booster - our water pressures crap so needed a decent pump so adds to overall cost - although worth it long run .
