Its a middle of the road carpet cleaning machine thats been in production many years. Comes from a reliable manufacturer/supplier thats been around some time and no doubt will continue to do so. The main components ie vac motors and pump, are pretty standard items that you will be able to get from various sources.
We are in the 21st century and today I think cleaning products play a bigger part of cleaning then ever before. Clients are concerned about what is being used on their carpets, they have children, pets, someone in the family has an allergy or asthma - thats where their concerns lie as well as with the environment.
I would recommend you look at the cleaning products available from the sponsor of this forum, go to www.worldofclean.co.uk and you will see a fantastic range of products.
On top of that I would highly recommend before you by any of anyones products to buy the trial pack from World of Clean. 15 top class products for you to try, and this pack will earn you well over £1000 in business turnover (if used a s recommended) and all for a cost of £60 inc del and vat (maybe be higher with you being in Cork).
Here is the link, just click on it http://www.worldofclean.co.uk/carpet-cleaning-chemicals/chemicals/solution-special-sample-pack.html
and :welcome:
Joe.

depends on your budget matey, i have an old Ninja as a back up machine and i have got to say its been superb when i have needed it. Seems well made and reliable unlike some machines out there. It rarely gets used but fires up and sucks well for a twin vac. As its so light and only needs one plug without using the heater i tend to use it as a big spotting machine!! You can get some old ones at bargain prices and if its been looked after you will be ok

I have a Ninja i still use, i have had it for years, I love the thing, it's rarely needed anything doing to it, and fires up every time with no issues, it's fairly light and does the job its designed for well, it can run 50 ft of hose comfortably and i have run 75 ft in the past with no issues... Can't fault it really.. some cheap bargain ones out there if you keep your eyes open.. I have to say too, i have always had pretty good service from Ashby's if i ever needed advice in the past, I do recommend that you look in to Joe's advice and take a peek at the solutions trial pack, i now only use solutions products and it's changed the way i clean too.. with excellent results..

I have run Ninja's for many years. Top quality machines at a very competitive price. I now use an Ashby's Enforcer, fantastic machine. I strongly recommend you look at these machines because they are well made, do a fine job and the service from Ashby's is second to none. Couple these machines with quality products from Craftex and Prochem, Solutions and others and you won't go far wrong.

The Enforcer is a couple of hundred pounds cheaper but a 600psi pump not an 800 like the Jag.
The Jag probably has the more powerful vacuum.
The 2 things that tip me to the Enforcer are:
Built in 3kw heater......one plug operation.......ease of loading with wheels on handle..that's 3!!!

John, the one plug operation is only with the 135 and 400 psi machines. On the bigger machines the pump will take up a second lead and the heater a third lead.
The vac motors are in series, wheras the Scorpion and Jag are in parallel, the latter giving better performance
Enforcer has either 2 x 5.7" or 2x 7.2" vac motors, neither set up matches the 3 x 5.7 of a Scorpion or 2 x 6.6 of the Jaguar
The Jaguar is the lightest machine in its class. I am assuming that because Enforcer weight figures not shown which implies it weighs a lot - good job it has wheels for loading.
Jag has auto fill and auto dump as standard, options on Enforcer
