This is THE device to identify and match the colour of your leather accurately and in an instant, it’s small and portable for onsite analysis.

The Leather Colour Reader will analyse the colour, compare it to its digital archive database then choose the formula, displaying the code in a letter and number format which are all listed in our formula book.
It will give an instant result and therefore makes colour matching a speedy process to quickly complete the restoration job for your customers.

To match the colour accurately, weigh the pigments on the pocket scales using the formula in the laminated recipe booklet.

Even after reproducing and applying the colour, you can make small adjustments. The Leather Colour Reader can also be helpful to achieve perfection using the “COMPARE” function that provides the necessary correction to adjust the mixture to the desired colour.

I've bought one, even though I've been restoring for quite some time now, i can still sometimes waste a lot of time and pigment mucking around with colours, cant wait for it to arrive....:2beer:

That's the gadget I saw you playing with at the NCCA bash the other week then

Looks great!

Hi Jim Judy was trialling it while I was doing her excellent course, it is a really clever and good bit of kit and having tried mixing I realise how much use it is.

Saving my pennies and will be my next bigish buy, that said it is only a fraction of the cost of other similar devices on the market which cost thousands and you don't get Judy's fantastic knowledge with those..........On a serious point I reckon this gadget would save a newbie like me at least an hour messing about with pigments not to mention the waste.

Something like this would be ideal for instance when doing car repairs - where you dont have a chance to send off a sample for colour matching. Having said that we stopped doing cars a while back now - purely because of this. At times, we could be colour matching and it will take an hour :annoyed: Not sue I want to get back in to them though.

Im a bit dubious of things like this, i purchased a color matching booklet from furniture clinic, same principle, weigh the colour's to match the sofa colour,,,,,,once all the colour's were mixed, did not look anything like the sofa, total rubbish and a waste of money, so i would like some feedback on this from Judy or someone who has purchased this machine, i hope to get some positive feedback on this machine, if it works, ill buy one

Hi Paul
At LTT we do not create products that do not work simply for the sake of it. I have worked on this now for a great deal of time to ensure that I am selling a tool that is truly useful to the technician. I have been very dubious about colour matching machines for a long time as many of you will know. Technology however has moved on and this little device is really good.
The time saving element is huge and as the pigments are correctly formulated at factory level (rather than put together for the DIY market) they do not change as they will with other systems.
A basic understanding of colour matching is still essential but we can help with this where required and of course you need all the leather ID skills to identify the type of leather - otherwise colour mixing will always be a mystery to you.!!!!

I have today demonstrated it to a big service network who are looking into buying anything up to 42 units - believe me they wouldn't be interested if it didn't work.

Hope this helps
Judyb
