check the guarantee on the backpack. I've heard gardiners will void their guarantee if you use chemicals in their sprayer. Plenty do it though. If your any good at diy you can attach a pump up sprayer to a pole. Or just use a pump up to spray ground floor frames then dip the brush in a bucket to do higher ones.
