confused.? yep so was I...

went to a place to clean a suite... pigmented... told the owners the normal blurb......

ok they said, yeh need it cleaning it looks horrible and dirty, once its cleaned properly it will look much brighter, any damage hidden under the ground in dust, skin and body oil contaminating etc once removed may uncover further damage... yep they said it is filthy...

so clean I it..... show them.... WOW... amazing looks really clean and softer too.

nice innit.... yeh but it doesn't look the same..? ehh... :dunno:

it's not as shiny,

err no the shiniest areas was due to polished off body oil etc....

oh..... will it go back to that..?
ermm, yes once you put more body oil on it and slid around a bit.... ( my head hurts):helpme:

well yeh it's lighter, they said.... yes it will be it's clean...?

oh.. can we change that..?

to what..?
well like it was before... of course...

oh.. says I, of course why didn't I think of that...... :headshot:

time for restoration, eventually they're happy and pay extra......

why do people want things changing to look the same......

Its "Attachment" you find it with rug owners as well .

They have bonded with an inanimate object,

We are emotional creatures, and our emotions involuntarily attach themselves to all sorts of things, from places we've visited to a pair of earrings grandma left behind after she died or a rug , and.even a pigmented suite .

Thats one thing I have noticed people who have their rugs cleaned will pay far more than a new one cost due to this very fact.

that and it matches their shiny pigmented suite lol

I got called in a couple of years ago, the housekeeper had spilt toilet cleaner on the limestone floor and ruined it.
It turned out it was porcelain and it had just taken the dirt off, but the grout is white now what can we do to get it back to its proper colour.:headshot:

I went to clean a fawn suite.
As I wet the first bit it turned green- Oh that was the colour it was 30 years ago, can you turn the whole lot green? It had been in a conservatory all that time in the sun.
I will try- the colour bleed was completely successful and she ended up with a green suite.

Did you suggest more toilet cleaner then Bill?

Trevor, you did of course charge for a re-dye on top of the clean?

I had a complaint last week that I couldn't have cleaned the carpet properly, because whilst it looked nice and clean I hadn't left it wet enough!!

Poxy punters do my head in.

I had that off a traveler said it looked clean but it was wet the last time she had it done . So I went back cleaned it again with hwe looked no different but she was happy .
