I don't want to high jack another mans post but I'm also intrested in window cleaning.

Constantin, If your budget is £300 your only option is 'trad' system.

I have a Brodex system and have recently spend more than £300 on changing the filters alone.

You maybe be able to pick up a second hand trolley system, pole, hose, brushes for £500, but you when have the problem of sourcing your water.

How things have changed!
I don't do window cleaning now but I did when first I left school and worked for big companies in London. The work was all commercial and often working on very all tall buildings in the city. The very tall ones had fixed cradles but quite often having to rig our own cradles & bosens chair (fearless in those days) our cleaning equipment consisted of the following, Van, Ladders, buckets, leather, Scrim, Squeegee and that was pretty much it.

you can laugh at the water fed poles but its the only way I clean commercial windows now. safer better quicker .

I jest but yes I know it's much safer now and back in the late seventies safety was only just being thought about, losing window cleaners to falls was quite common in London. I remember my company issuing this new thing called a Safety Belt which nobody really wanted to wear because it got in the way! Luckily enough I changed career and moved on but good to look back on all of the buildings and places I worked in.

One end had come adrft.
The firemen smashed a window to get them inside.
