Aniline protection

A client has 2 settees which she recently purchased. I would say they were aniline- light natural tan coloured with no pigment . There is a 'nap' to the leather so when you run your hand across it in opposing directions it looks lighter due to light refraction , but is not nubuck. She paid £100 each to have them protected & 5yr warranty (Multimaster). They supplied kit of soft cleaner & Wax on. My concerns for her are the leather is very absorbent which is leaving it prone to permanent staining with liquid spills so needs regular application of protctor, but , is wax on suitable? as its not a wax finish.
Again as with warranties and misunderstandings she was under the impression that she would just get me into clean it at a later date and every thing would clean up like new.
Ps It leaves a scratch mark with a fingernail.
Any advice appreciated.

This is probably a lightly buffed leather with a wax/polyurethanestyle finish. Waxon is not a leather protector and although it may enhance the look and feel of the finish it will not offer any protection like a leather protector would. Leather Protector may shade it but will protect it and be essential on this type of leather which marks and stains very easily. Waxon can be used on top of our leather protector to give a slight waxy feel. In this particular instance you need to check with the warranty provider whether addition of products other than those supplied will void the warranty.
