We had a bonded leather dining chair presented to us. They had basically hardly used the set in their 2 year life. One chair only had suffered damage. Client was unsure as to why this chair had been damaged.
On questioning the client it appeared that the cat curled up on this chair most of the day, not scratching it but pure body heat had broken the surface down.
It does show how delicate this covering actually is.
Have some before and after shots , I have shown these to my local furniture retailers so they are aware of keeping pets clear of this type of leather product.
