That's why I raised the question initially...there is an Oreck Orbiter and Oreck XL pro (not the Hoover) both of which from what I've read are great for agitating carpets...I can't seem to find specifics ref power, size of head etc etc of any ideas Ian...?

Thanks Neil that's the one I meant at the start....(didn't realise it was a pro)

You say ' fast ' as in for you to complete a job (which is a good perk) or to fast in general for scrubbing a carpet..?

Lastly Neil, any difference between the standar Orbiter and the XL do you know..?

Hi chris

I'm not sure might be weight

Hwe setting up takes time
To fast because how do you justify charging £100 for under a hours work , think that's my problem though

Encap = vac , spray, agite, leave
3 rooms two of you about 70 mins turning up to leaving

On the pic , that is the type of carpet that's suited to encap find the pepole that have them and your onto a winner

I use the Floormac and find it great. Never had any problems with the drive board coming off, it works well. Some say they don't like the switch being on the machine rather than the handle but it's fine for me and have never thougt 'if only the switch was on the handle my life would be complete'. The only issue I have had is the switch when I first got the machine came loose and the power connectors dis-connected. I had to dis-mantle the machine to sort it which isn't difficult. The real problem was the switch is a 'press fit' in the housing and didn't locate particularly well. A good application of adhesive has fixed that once and for all. A good machine and I would buy another should I need to.

Myself and all my men have a hand on the T bar with thumb controlling the switch, the second hand holds the shaft. None of my men would entertain the switch anywhere other than on the handle as it would slow them down too much.

Right.......... I choose scented bootlaces at 500 paces.......................... Then a pint of best bitter afterwards if we can find some real ale!

Now, back on topic!

Agreed with Ian ,
We use the same method when mechanically agitating stairs.

Mind you I don't have much choice as we use the ( In my opinion superior ) Numatic Loline 332 .

All the best,
James.
