Hi Guys what sort of van would you need for a jag truck mount set up would need room for my oven cleaning set up, how big a water tank would I need can the auto pump out go down foul drain or do you have to recover it
I have 1 1/2 inch hose about 15m or so
A pro s/s upholstery tool with solution pipe in hose
Stair tool
10inch wand not the best
Scrubber 10inch
Always wanted rotovac type
So what's a good set up utilising what I have
Before I rush out and get one I would probably just test Market as additional services first and maybe sub out first or if when slow do it my self
Cheers

Water tank - I would go for 200 litre at least
1.5" suction hose on the Jaguar is not the most efficient, and 15m is not enough for van mount
You need 2" hose, and I would advise carrying 100ft, majority of houses will take 50' from the door, so 75ft will be normal for van mounting, sometimes little more - hence 100ft.
10" wand not good enough. Go for 12" 2 jet

What sort of van - how much stuff do you want to carry. You can get an awful lot into a Cit Dispatch van 2000-2006, but newer ones a bit bigger and nicer looking. Go for turbo diesel. Non turbo are dead slow.

Kevin,

Joe is spot on! 1.5" hose would cripple the Jag by reducing the airflow. Don't scrap your 1.5" hose though, cur it down to about 2 mtrs. for use as a whip hose when working in tight quarters and you may find that it eases the task on stair cleaning.

I've never carried a water tank & with the Jag I've little need to. Van mount it or take it off & unlike copy cat machines you can wand all day knowing that you don't need to stop to dump waste water. Hose connect or bucket fil, whatever is available, this leaves room in my lwb connect for a dip tank & sundries if I were doing ovens. Place a water tank in the back & you've just lost a cubic metre.

Thanks Matthew, you're a star! Have ordered some vanquish, will have a look out for some boxes in Ikea at the weekend, apart from gloves, a scraper and a load of tissue paper, what else would i need?

Black gloves scraper and blades Astonish cutting paste is good to have you should pick some up in the pound shop get mine in 99p stores. wire balls are a must some sponges and washing up liquid for rinsing off and micro fiber towel for buffing up at the end... you might find that a tub of elbow grease will come in handy Andrew:toofunny:

High Tony i use a box with a lid. I found it in ikea its long enough to fit the wider oven racks in an on a standard oven i can leave all the parts i remove from the oven in there . Boiling water and plant/food remover mixed about 10-1 lid on.. clean oven then when its time for the racks a bit of light aggitation may be needed in the box works a treat. £5.99 from ikea its the only plastic box i have found that is like my own dipp tank i have had that box a good couple of years now..
Can you see the box you use on ikea website ?

I was going to get some one to pick me one up but i wanted to give them a item code if i could .
The box you use looks just right .

It was just a lucky find i was in ikea looking for other stuff and just stumbled upon the box. so i am not sure if they are on the website.. as for the vanquish in the box it depends on how bad the racks are i do not measure it out. 1 would guess about 200ml in 5 ltr of boiling water... hope this helps

I've done more than my fair share of oven & hob cleans and though I've cut down dramatically from perhaps between 1 - 3 a day ( as well as the rest of the property clean including carpets ) I still do 1 or 2 a week ( varies ) but I'll tell you what....give me a carpet cleaning job any day!

Oh and my respect to all oven cleaners:goodday:

I might look to expand into this but I always get paranoid about getting water in places it shouldnt, especially seen as most are electric. Anything I should look out for?
