I have been asked by a customer what can be done to get rid of a nasty smell from a leather sofa.
Apparently the item was bought on ebay and when it turned up stank of cat pee. She wants to keep the sofa and hopes the smell can be got rid of.
She thinks that the sofa was used by one or more cats as their toilet!!!!
The urine is confined to one end of the sofa. She says she has removed the foam insets and washed them and wants to know what to do next. She stresses the stench is eyewateringly horrendous.
If it was a fabric sofa I would wade in with a good extraction clean and follow it with something like solubac or another enzine digester. But leather?????
Short of a can of petrol and a match, has anyone any ideas, please. She really wants to keep the sofa and is on a tight budget.
Thanks, Nick.
