Hi, last October we ventured in to the field of general domestic and commercial cleaning to work along side carpet cleaning. We have secured quite a few domestic cleans however today I've been asked to quote my first large sized office.
Its not massive but big enough to provide the problem of do I use two cleaners?
It's about 400 sqft on one floor needing a twice weekly clean of 1.5 hours per session. 8am- 9.30am.
However they have suggested certain areas only need doing once per week or some areas need doing twice per week. There are no windows to be cleaned and the majority of the flooring is carpet, additionally there is no bathroom or kitchen (these are shared and cleaned by the management company).
Actual working office space takes up just under half the flooring and they have said this needs doing once per week. However there is a small board room, reception, and staff area that require cleaning twice per week. There are also other extras such as watering the plants cleaning the front door and internal door etc etc
They seem to have it clear in their mind what they want doing and how, as it is different to the way I would schedule a clean i'm struggling to work out the timings for x1 or x2 staff. Obviously I am trying to tailor it to their requirements.
In general are commercial contracts harder or easier than domestics? Is it common sense just to use two staff due to the environment? Any help would much be appreciated, as you all know quoting for something new can be a challenge as you don't want to price yourself out or go in to low?
I have come to the figure of about £60-£80 per week.
Help me please!!!!!
Thanks, Neil
